Surrey Police have released some footage (scroll down for video) of the moment when a drunk driver hurtled the wrong way around the M25 between junctions 8 and 9 in Leatherhead on 10th February 2021, after she had drunk a bottle of wine whilst say behind the wheel.
Brave officers from Surrey Police’s Roads Policing Unit put themselves in a position where they were going to almost certainly be involved in a head-on collision with 39-year-old Hanjarina Oliveira of Bath Road in Enfield, as they tried to save innocent motorists from serious harm.
It was only thanks to the emergency services that an innocent member of the public was not killed.
Emergency medics in an ambulance on the other side of the road also alerted motorists to the danger by keeping their lights on whilst driving on the outside lane of the M25.

After being arrested, the driver was assessed by the paramedics in the back of their ambulance.
During this assessment, Oliveira attempted to bite a paramedic and a police officer.
She was arrested for driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs and taken to custody, where she failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.

Oliveira has never held a UK driving licence and declined to answer whether she held a licence in another country.
Police records show Oliveira was previously convicted of drink driving in 2013.

On 12th April 2021, Oliveira pleaded guilty to driving dangerously, driving otherwise in accordance with a license, failing to provide a sample of breath, and two counts of assault of an emergency worker at Guildford Magistrates’ Court.
On 14th June, she was sentenced to 12 months behind bars. She was also disqualified from driving for three years and six months.
ONLY 12 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
