Two Metropolitan Police dogs and their handlers escaped serious injury despite being rammed multiple times by a fleeing vehicle.
The incident happened in Redbridge on Tuesday, 17th August, after the officers attempted to stop a vehicle that was on false plates.
The suspect hit the dog unit multiple times in their bid to try and get away.
After sending out an urgent assistance radio call, officers rushed to help their colleagues, and the two occupants of the fleeing vehicle were arrested.
Officers also found an imitation firearm in the suspect’s vehicle.
Thankfully, the police dogs and handlers involved in the incident were not harmed.
