A Staffordshire Police dog has been praised after finding a seriously ill patient who ran from paramedics.
The life-saving paramedics had been called to reports of a male who needed urgent medical attention.
But when they arrived on the scene, the male ran off, having ingested a dangerous amount of prescribed medication.
Police dog ‘Vixen’ and his handler were sent to the scene to help find the male.
After searching the area, the male was found lying in some dense undergrowth in a life-threatening condition.
He was rushed to the hospital minutes after being found by PD Vixen and his handler.
