A police dog and his handler came to the aid of a high-risk missing person who was found alone and unconscious.
PD ‘Fletcher’ and handler (Lincolnshire Police Dog Section) was tasked with finding the male after control room staff received a concern for welfare call about the male (21st April).
As soon as PD Fletcher and his human colleague arrived on the scene, they immediately began searching for the male, based on his last known location.
It was not long before the life-saving duo found who they were looking for.
The male was unconscious, but PD Fletcher’s handler quickly requested the assistance of the ambulance service.
The male is expected to make a full recovery and is now being given the help he needs.
The incident once again highlights the vital role that police dogs play on the front line of the emergency services.
Not only are police dogs vital when it comes to finding dangerous suspects, but they are equally as vital when it comes to locating missing people who are in urgent need of both physical and mental help.
