Police Dog ‘Charlie’ Sniffs Out Some Dodgy Gear That Was Stashed In A Car

A police dog has helped officers find a large stash of class ‘A’ drugs in a car that police units stopped near Dover.

Kent Police stopped a motorist on the A258 in Guston at around 2 am on Saturday 13 March 2021.

Following a search of the vehicle and, with the assistance of PD ‘Charlie’, officers located cannabis, suspected class ‘A’ drugs and a BB gun under the driver’s seat.

The items were seized and will eventually be destroyed once the police investigation is over.

A 22-year-old male from Dover was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs, possession of class A and B drugs with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon.

The male has since been released pending further investigation.
