One-Legged Disqualified Driver Caught Driving A HGV With Two Stolen ‘Chopped Up’ Range Rovers In The Back

Officers from the Central Motorway Policing Group have arrested two males after motorists called them to a heavy goods vehicle that had broken down on a live lane on the M6 motorway – near junction 9.

When officers conducted a safety check on the load, they found two Range Rovers which had been ‘chopped up’.

Both vehicles had been stolen from Hertfordshire and Essex only days before the incident (7th October).

Further checks on the driver by officers at the scene revealed that he had been disqualified from driving.

The male only had one leg and was operating the clutch on the manual lorry with a crutch.

Both the driver of the HGV and his passenger were arrested for various offences at the scene.

  1. For his complete disregard for the law, or the property and safety of others, the driver should have his crutch taken away, and be given a lengthy sentence in court…he wouldn’t have a leg to stand on.
