A speeding motorist in Lancashire is facing the prospect of losing their driving licence after being caught speeding at 122 mph in a 50 mph zone.
The incident happened on 15th January after the driver of the speeding car overtook an unmarked police vehicle on John Horrocks Way at 14:06 hours.

Once the police caught up with the driver, they were stopped and reported for the offence.
A court date now awaits the driver.
Anyone who is caught driving at double the speed limit without a lawful excuse can typically expect, at the very least, to lose their driving licence.
